Kimber 2K11 Pro — Compact Double-Stack 1911 Lands for Late Summer 2025
September 8, 2025

The Kimber 2K11 Pro shrinks the original 2K11 into a 4.25″ carry-length package with 19+1 (9mm) capacity, an optics-ready slide, and premium 1911 touches (tool-less guide rod, GT trigger). If you’ve been eyeing a “2011-style” pistol for EDC or home defense, this is the sweet spot—cue the “one louder” jokes.
What’s new & why now: Debuting the week of August 29–September 3, 2025, the 2K11 Pro brings the high-capacity, match-grade feel of Kimber’s double-stack 1911 into a more carryable footprint. You get a fluted, deep-crowned 4.25″ bull barrel, RMR-footprint optics cut (adapter plate included), and model-specific finishes (Coyote, Stainless, Eclipse, Royal, Minotaur) with either aluminum or carbon-fiber/Kevlar grip modules. Select trims add a Stan Chen magwell; most keep the line’s external extractor, disconnector ramp, and crisp 3–4 lb GT trigger.

What Stands Out
- Carry-length, competition DNA: 4.25″ bull barrel and tuned trigger deliver shootability you feel—without a full-size slide.
- Optics-ready out of the box: RMR plate included; adapter plates available for RMSc, DPP, ACRO, and 509T footprints.
- Grip module choices: Aluminum (added durability) or MJD carbon-fiber/Kevlar modules (notable weight savings).
- Thoughtful details: External extractor, disconnector ramp, tool-less guide-rod assembly for easy maintenance.
- Model finishes: Coyote, Stainless, Eclipse, Royal, and Minotaur, with select variants adding a Stan Chen magwell.
Who It’s For
Everyday carriers who want 2011 ergonomics and capacity without a 5″ slide. Home-defense builders who plan to add a dot and a weapon light. And range & 2-gun dabblers needing a flat-shooting pistol that eats up reps but still fits an IWB holster.
Availability & Pricing
Initial trims are rolling out now in 9mm, with select models also chambered in .45 ACP. Expect real-world prices to track the listed MSRP bands by finish, with the Stainless on the lower end and specialty finishes (and .45 ACP) at the top.
